
CPL Super Cup Rules
1. Laws Of The Game
All games must be played in accordance with FIFA Laws except as specifically modified by these rules.
Offside will be called in all the divisions. U8 to U12
No Deliberate Heading at U12 and Under
Deliberate Heading Violation will result in a Free Kick at the spot of the violation.
No Goalkeeper Punting in U8 thru U10
Goalkeeper punting violation will result in an Indirect Free Kick at the spot of the violation
U8 thru U10 fields will include a Build-up Line (dashed line 15 yards from each goal)
When goalkeepers have the ball in their hands or on goal kicks, the opposing team must retreat behind the build-up line.
Once ball is played by the goalkeeper or the ball is put into play on a goal kick, opponents may cross the build-up line
Illegally crossing the build-up line will result in Indirect Free Kick at the buildup line where opponent illegally crossed.
The build-out line also serves as an offside line. Attackers cannot be penalized for an offside offense between the halfway line and the build-out line
2. Field and Game Equipment
A. Teams must wear numbers on uniforms and numbers must be unique coincide with the game report form.
B. Where team uniform colors are similar, the home team will change colors. Home teams are listed first on the schedule.

D. Teams should report to fields 30 minutes before scheduled kickoff.
E. Referees will have your game card. Your designated team manager will be responsible for having a tournament roster on the field in the event of a question. Following the game, both coaches must sign the game card to verify the scores are correct. The referee will keep the game card and a field marshal will take it to the scorers for reporting.
3. Substitutions
A. Without limit, with the referee’s permission.
1. After a goal has been made.
2. At the beginning of the second half or prior to the beginning of an overtime period.
3. On a goal kick by either team.
4. At a throw-in by the team in possession.
B. Limited, with the referee’s permission
1. At a play stoppage for injured player(s).
2. To replace a cautioned player. (Teams do not have to sub on cautions).
4. Game and Score Reporting
See above (2-E). If a player or coach is red carded, the team manager or coach must present the center referee the tournament roster. The center referee will write a note on the current game card showing that the red carded player or coach is ineligible to play in the following game(s).
5. Conduct
A. Players, coaches and spectators are expected to conduct themselves within the spirit, as well as the letter of the Law. Displays of temper or dissent are cause for ejection from the game and the field area.
B. Ejections:
1. Players, coaches and team officials that are ejected from the game shall be ineligible for the next scheduled game and any additional games based upon the nature of the ejection (Violent Conduct is a 2-game suspension).
2. If the ejection is related to referee abuse or assault, the Tournament Committee will determine the suspension time frame to be served.
3. If a coach is coaching more than one team, he will have to sit out the next game of the team from which he was ejected.
4. It is the responsibility of the team manager or coach to report any and all suspensions to their State Association and have verified any suspensions that are served during the tournament.
C. Both teams (players and coaches only) will be on the same side of the field, one team on each side of halfway. Parents and supporters of both teams will take the opposite side of the field from their teams. No player or coach will be allowed to stand on the sideline between the PK area and the goal line.
D. Hard casts or braces must be wrapped and approved by the referee before a player will be allowed to play in a game.
6. Forfeits
A ten-minute grace period will be allowed. After the grace period, a team will forfeit if unable to field the minimum number of players.
7. Protests
There will be no protests. All officiating decisions are final.
8. Inclement Weather
If a game is called because of inclement weather, and one half of the game has been completed, the score will stand. If the game is canceled before the half, the game is canceled. Canceled games will not be rescheduled.
9. Rules for Advancement
Standings in the group will be determined by:

G. Penalty Kicks: 5 for each team. If still tied, sudden death penalty kicks.
10. Resolving Ties in Semi-final Matches, Championship Matches, and Progression Matches
At the end of regulation time, the two teams will be given a 5-minute rest period and then they will begin two five-minute overtimes, both of which will be completed. If still tied, the championship will be decided by FIFA penalty kicks from the players remaining on the field at the end of the overtime period.
11. General
A. Under no circumstances whatsoever will SCUFC, the Tournament Committee, Tournament Director, and / or CPL be responsible for any expenses (including the tournament entry fee) incurred by any team. This includes a situation where the tournament or any game(s) is canceled in whole or in part.
B. The Tournament Committee’s interpretation of the rules shall be final.
C. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to decide on all matters pertaining to this tournament.
